Major Research Collaboration Announcement
We are delighted to share that Nutrimores Australia is collaborating with the University of Melbourne and the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) on an exciting iPhD project:
“Peptide Design for Functional Elderly Milk Formulations”
This project will explore fermented plant protein peptides, with a focus on their potential antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, aiming to support the development of innovative elderly-targeted milk formulations. The research team will also investigate the possible role of these bioactive peptides in supporting brain health and reducing the risk factors associated with age-related cognitive decline, including Alzheimer’s disease.
Bringing together bioengineering, AI-driven peptide design, and functional food science, the project seeks to create next-generation, sustainable nutritional solutions for a healthy ageing society.
At Nutrimores, our mission is to drive transformation in dairy nutrition through science and innovation. This collaboration with the University of Melbourne and CSIRO marks another step forward in our commitment to developing evidence-based functional foods that may support healthy ageing, cognitive wellbeing, and overall quality of life.
We are also proud to support the growth of the next generation of food and nutrition researchers through this initiative.
